Training and Talks

Training and talks

We teach what we practise. Hairdressers, clinics and the curious are welcome.

The Hairhub team has lectured on hair and scalp in rooms a long way from Ngong Road. At home, we train hairdressers and clinic staff to spot hair loss early, handle Afro hair with care and know when to send someone to a trichologist.

What we teach

Ask us for the current calendar, group sizes and fees. We tailor sessions for salons, barbershops, clinics and brands.

1

Hair loss for hairdressers and barbers

You see more scalps in a week than most doctors do in a month. Learn to recognise early thinning, traction damage, patches and scalp problems in the chair. Then learn what to say to the client.

  • Spotting traction alopecia before it scars
  • Products and styles that quietly cost edges
  • When to refer and how to say it kindly
2

Afro hair and the scalp

Curl patterns, moisture, relaxers, locs, braids and heat. Why Afro hair breaks the way it does and the routines that protect it. Built from what we see under the microscope every day.

  • Breakage versus shedding
  • Scalp care under protective styles
  • Reading flakes, itch and redness
3

Talks, panels and brand sessions

Muli Musyoka and Celestine Gitau speak at conferences, on TV and for hair care brands. Celestine also works in cosmetic chemistry and tutors with the Institute of Trichologists.

  • Keynotes and panels on hair in Africa
  • Staff sessions for clinics and pharmacies
  • Product and formula advice for brands

Would recommend them any day. They are such a friendly community, very warm and kind when it comes to their service delivery and do not get me started on the results! They do deliver on what they say and I am absolutely grateful for their support in growing my hair back to what it is today! They did make my dream come true, and finally I can get to embrace who I am fully when I look at myself in the mirror. Thank you so much Hair Hub!

I thank God that after 2 gruesome years of scalp psoriasis, I have finally found a solution that works like magic. This was only possible with the services I got from Hair Hub at Bemuda Plaza, after years of spending so much money on other hair products on the market, all in vain. The first consultation I had was with Celestine Gitau and 3 weeks later I can say without a doubt that I no longer have any flaking or itching of the scalp and the inflammation has since reduced drastically.

Hairhub is a firm of its kind in Kenya. They perform hair transplant using the latest technology, also known as Follicular Unit Extraction, abbreviated as FUE.

Same team, same microscope. One message and a trichologist replies, usually the same working day.
