- Tight braids, cornrows, weaves and ponytails that pull on the hairline
- Glue, gel and heavy edge control products used daily
- Relaxers and heat that weaken fine hair at the front
- Wig bands and lace that rub the same spot

Can thinning edges grow back?
Often yes, if you act early. While the follicles are still alive, removing the pull and treating the scalp can bring the hair back. When an area has been smooth for a long time, the follicles may be gone. An FUE hair transplant can then restore the hairline.

Do edge growth oils work?
Oils can reduce breakage. They cannot bring back follicles that have died. A scalp check shows which you are dealing with.
How long do edges take to grow back?
When follicles are still alive, most people see change in three to six months after the pulling stops.
Is it too late for my edges?
Not always. Even where edges cannot grow back, a hair transplant can restore them.
