What is scalp psoriasis?

Scalp psoriasis is a long term immune condition that speeds up how fast skin cells build up. The result is thick, scaly patches on the scalp. It can flare and settle over time.

Signs of scalp psoriasis

  • Thick, silvery or white scales
  • Red, raised patches under the scales
  • Itching, burning or soreness
  • Patches that spread past the hairline, behind the ears or onto the neck

Not sure what it is? Show us.

Tilt your head toward a window, take a photo of the spot that worries you and send it on WhatsApp. A trichologist looks at it and tells you what to do next. No queue, no guessing.

Scalp psoriasis or dandruff?

Dandruff gives small, loose flakes. Psoriasis gives thicker scales on red, raised skin. Because they look alike, many people use the wrong shampoo for months. A scalp examination tells the difference.

How scalp psoriasis is managed

  • We confirm the assessment under a trichoscope.
  • We recommend a gentle scalp care routine.
  • We work with medical treatment from your doctor where needed.
  • We help you find triggers, such as stress or harsh products.

Does scalp psoriasis go away?

It is a long term condition, but it can be managed well with the right routine and treatment.

Would recommend them any day. They are such a friendly community, very warm and kind when it comes to their service delivery and do not get me started on the results! They do deliver on what they say and I am absolutely grateful for their support in growing my hair back to what it is today! They did make my dream come true, and finally I can get to embrace who I am fully when I look at myself in the mirror. Thank you so much Hair Hub!

I thank God that after 2 gruesome years of scalp psoriasis, I have finally found a solution that works like magic. This was only possible with the services I got from Hair Hub at Bemuda Plaza, after years of spending so much money on other hair products on the market, all in vain. The first consultation I had was with Celestine Gitau and 3 weeks later I can say without a doubt that I no longer have any flaking or itching of the scalp and the inflammation has since reduced drastically.
